Champagne & Pearls
What’s better in life than champagne? How about champagne satin lingerie? This is one of my favorite lingerie sets in my collection, for several reasons. First, it was a gift from my mother when we visited New Orleans together several years ago. We found the set in a pinup shop in the French Quarter, and while I was prepared to buy it for myself, she surprised me with it. Second, it’s by the now out-of-business lingerie designer Dollhouse Bettie, so it’s even more special. Third, just look at it! That champagne satin accentuated with black satin bows and ribbon, the 1930s styling of the bra, and the keyhole cutout on the back of the garter belt. C’est magnifique! I paired the lingerie with fully fashioned stockings from What Katie Did and pearl accessories. For the second half of the shoot I changed into classic black lingerie, but you’ll just have to wait to see those photos!
I wore this set for my first shoot with Melissa Mullins Portraits. Though she’s known for her milk bath photography, for this shoot we went for a classic, dreamy boudoir look. Melissa is amazing to work with, she always makes me feel so comfortable. We ended up shooting for three hours, the time just flew by! Enjoy!
